Eliza Pagelle (she/they) is an NYC-based actor, musician, director, and hopeless romantic with a passion for heightened language and risk-taking art. She is most drawn to characters and stories with emotional intelligence, intensity, and vulnerability.

Raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Eliza made their theatrical debut at age 6 playing Robin Starveling in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (auditions had a low turnout).

Eliza began professional training in 2015 at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, and continued at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the Juilliard School of Music, and Fordham University Lincoln Center where she graduated magna cum laude with a Theatre Performance and Music double major.

She began playing classical piano at age 5, and since then, has also become quite fond of the accordion. She continues to find joy through music performance, composition, and direction.

Eliza works as a teaching artist with the Texas Shakespeare Festival and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, focusing on Shakespeare and music reaching queer and at-risk young people in the Deep American South

Recently, Eliza spends time making chainmail, working on her latte art, and FaceTiming her mom’s new puppy, Caesar Salad (Photo provided upon request).
